The Topcon BG-4M Non-Contact Meibography System allows for infrared visualization of Meibomian glands in the upper and lower lids without the need of a fiber optic probe. The system employs a background illumination device coupled with an infra red filter that illuminates the Meibomian glands to assess its integrity. The observed images can be displayed on a computer screen and digitally captured and archived for teaching and documentation.
