Topcon Sponsors Cross-Linking Trials for the Treatment of Keratoconus and Corneal Ectasia

Topcon Medical Systems, Inc. is funding a set of clinical studies to assess the potential use of corneal collagen cross-linking for the treatment of patients with keratoconus and corneal ectasia. At this weekend’s American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) meeting taking place in Chicago, IL, Topcon sponsored an educational symposium entitled “New Therapeutic and Diagnostic Technologies for the Anterior Segment”. The symposium, which was co-sponsored by SOOFT Italia, featured a distinguished faculty, including Doyle Stulting, MD, PhD, and topics including the results from physician-sponsored U.S. clinical trials, cross-linking in children, trans-epithelial cross linking, and multifocal IOL technology. |
